Awww yeah
I’ll be spending the next six or so days in sunny Arizona, surrounded by Spring Training baseball. Pictures of Sandy Koufax from a distance will hopefully follow.
More pictures from Spring Training!
My dad and I have returned from beautiful Arizona, where we spent a week watching some Spring Training baseball. It was 85 and sunny every glorious day, and there was so much baseball. We met Don Cooper and Bobby Thigpen, and had dinner next to Ron Santo’s family one night. We also saw Harold Baines in the CVS we were buying smartwater at, and apparently missed Sale by ten seconds in the same CVS.
We spent most of the time at Camelback Ranch either looking for Sandy Koufax in Dodgers camp (we didn’t find him) or at the White Sox minor league fields, watching all the prospects do drills and take batting practice. It was perfect. …and then we came back to Chicago, which was sixty degrees colder. Ugh.

See? When I say that my dad and I met Tommy Lasorda when he was driving a golf cart around during Spring Training 2010, I MEANT it.
Ok, it was just a normal golf cart. It wasn’t this one. But I wish it was!
Next.
In one month and eleven days, I will be where that black-and-white logo is in Arizona. I will watch some White Sox baseball, get a terrible sunburn, and, if I’m lucky, get to see Billy Hamilton run a little bit. I can’t wait.
